Minimum wage increase was much needed, yes it would unfortunately destroy the american dream of many who have been in backlog, only because they did not change employers to maintain i140. Give backlogged EAD and all of them will find significantly higher paying jobs very quickly.
I keep saying the $60k salary you quote is the prevailing wage, not what was offered. I also keep saying we pay more for foreign nationals with immigration costs than Americans. But that doesn’t feed your narrative. I’m not your enemy.
Thank you Janene for the clarification. We high skilled legal immigrants are tax paying, law abiding but still receive backlash. We have been waiting for years in line for #Greencard but still struggling to maintain H1 status everyday with all these unnecessary complexities.
