I got all seven
Do you know all 7 reads in Pick and Roll? What defensive actions triggers which read? Show off your basketball IQ with a shirt only real hoopers know. CAN YOU READ? bballiq.org/shirts-and-swa…
I found a gem.
Many of these I have taught my kids
By the age of 30, you should be wise enough to recognize this:
Do the work. The game owes you nothing. A message for today’s players.
This is worth the watch! Dame flat out gets it… Live your values loudly!
I’d rather be EXCLUDED for the people I include. Than included for the people I EXCLUDE.
Tough, but fair.
Playing college basketball is very difficult. About 3.5% of HS Players will play in college. Here are 6 quotes from Current College Coaches to help you become one of the 3.5%. 🧵⬇️
Young hoopers. Aspire. Dream. But make sure you do THE WORK.
“Belief” and “work” is the lesson for young players.
Six years ago, Max Strus was a D2 college basketball player. He now is on the floor in crunch time for the Miami Heat in a road playoff game in the Eastern Conference Finals. The moral of this story? NEVER allow ANYONE to tell you what you can and can't do in life.
This is not a political statement. These are practical solutions.

Players: Someone is always watching
My advice to HS 🏀 recruits: 1. Be eligible..coaches don’t run from good grades 2. Seriously consider the school that wants you the most 3. Don’t let level guide you 4. Ask questions..lots! 5. Don’t be afraid to initiate contact 6. Focus on what you can control 7. Be grateful
Fear of conflict is 1 of the 5 dysfunctions of a team. Teammates who trust each other can give & take honest feedback. Great teams aren’t afraid of conflict. That’s how you grow. Two competitors who hold each other accountable and want to win can fuel a championship run.
If you wake up today and your not grateful and appreciative about just waking up and getting to live another day…go back to bed and think a little harder about what an amazing opportunity you’ve been given.
Interesting take
I’m sure this won’t go well with some people but the US model of basketball is broken in regards to youth skill development and focus on rankings. Possible 3 best players in world (Giannis, Jokic and Luka) probably could have cared less about rankings or even known there were
Focus on the details and the plays will follow.
Finishers are the most valuable position on the floor.
4/12 cut types go through the middle of the lane. Gotta have a mid range package to finish those shots.
Hunting defensive plays. 1.Impossible close out (KY Calipari) 2.Hip flip BLOCK 3.On-ball HOLLOW STRIP 4.Shooting passing lane
