Thankfully, since then the auditorium has been completely refinished: new seats, new screen, new projector, new sound system!
Hard To Be A God might have slipped past my radar if it wasn't for @CultivateCinema . They showed it in the old uncomfortable Library auditorium, and pumped its post synch sound through the radio/intercom system for 3 hours like God intended.
Among their many coups - got the Buffalo Public Library to show Hard to Be a God and brought a Petzold retro to @squeakybuffalo. I went to a memorable screening of Pather Panchali they organized at the @NorthParkTheatr introduced by the one and only @girishshambu
