Extreme Auroras seen tonight over Montana. 🐴 Go out and look up tonight. It is expected to be even more bright and vivid tonight. Red auroras occur about 125–250 miles high, green about 60–90 miles, and pink around 55–75 miles above Earth’s surface.

The Solar Orbiter satellite has detected another strong interplanetary shock. The magnetic field strength increased to over 60 nT. It's not guaranteed that we'll have those numbers at Earth too, but it's an indication. We will likely have another strong impact later today.
