PSA: Passing a bike in a no passing zone is still illegal and dangerous. PSA2: The danger of passing in a passing zone with oncoming traffic is not worth the extra 4-10 seconds you you save in your day. #sharetheroad

Fun fact: an alternate spelling for Baylor is K a n s a s

Is anyone else in the confusing place where you want Baylor to win--because Big 12--but you don't like seeing Baylor fans happy?

As long as Duck Sauce doesn't pull the Barbra Streisand song. If that happens then I might have to drop my Spotify subscriptions!🤣🤣🤣

No, No, No! Every person touting some form of forced "new normal" should be forced to spend 3 months in a place that went back to 2019 12-18 months ago. Florida gets all the press (I get it - it's cold here😀) but in Iowa we have lived normal life for over a year!

2019 isn’t coming back. So we need to make our peace with that and be pragmatic. We can’t have it all, all the time anymore. But we can still have a lot — without giving up safety and healthcare.

Tweet of the day!

Living in that half I'm amazed when I realize everyone hasn't been living normal for a year and a half. Funny how in an age where the world is the "smallest" it's ever been due to technology and ease/frequency of travel we all still live and think local/regional.

Justices seem unaware of the half of the country where people have been living normally for a year and a half.

Telling state of our world. Seeing all the Covid lockdowns across county…I just left a crowded bar and am sitting in a crowded restaurant in Iowa and just overheard the comment “back during Covid”! FYI…we have been over it and living normal for a year or more.

Seriously wondering how you make this statement? How do you make that correlation? 16 of 638 (3%) hospitalizations are under 18.

Homemade Nana’s lasagna (made by yours truly), really good glass(bottle) of Pinot and Frank on the radio reminds me of what my late Mother would say…this too shall pass!

So well said! Risk assessment is how the human race has evolved. We parents have enough sleepless nights as it is. If you sit back and worry about everything that could harm your kids you will absolutely go insane!

As a parent, do I worry about Covid? Sure. To the same level I worry about car crashes, drownings, cancer, choking, and any other “danger” to my children. It’s called risk assessment.

This is what we’ve created. Only place kids can get COVID is school! Does her son never leave the house except school??? “The obvious fact is that there’s at least one other child in that classroom walking around with COVID, because somehow our son got it,” Ramirez said.

This is awesome!

Johnston high school senior Drake Wendl just returned from basic training. Drake got friends to bring 13 American flags to the football game to honor the 13 fallen soldiers. Photo thanks Mindy Dougherty (daughter Dylan is a cheerleader)

For the win! Reminds of a time I was late to a bday dinner in college and hostess couldn’t find reservation as I went through each friend’s name…then it dawned on me to try McCracken. Response…oh, are you Phil? 🤦‍♂️

All I can say is, I leaned over…

Finally, a great data based article showing reality from DM Register! Unfortunately, the comments on this show where we are at with covid. Hundreds dismissing due to “only a bachelor degree” and saying it’s disinformation but offer no data driven rebuttal.

Opinion: Children almost never die of COVID-19, and immunity after infection confers significant protection, writes Colin Coulter. desmoinesregister.com/story/opinion/…

Stop testing asymptotic people! A positive test doesn’t equal sick.

If school staff are asymptomatic, but test positive, they are not required to stay home?! Staff would have to take sick time to quarantine. We couldn’t make a better plan to spread delta.@IAPublicHealth @IADeptofEd @IAGovernor @WDMCS

Can we start a “if you could PCR for X”? That would be fun! 😉

Sitting here thinking how lucky I am after going out with friends having a number of drinks and then coming home playing pool and darts with my college age/teen kids! COVID be damned life is good!

Love it when you present data and get immediately blocked. Instead of discussing the data (which I have read multiple times in detail) just throw a barb and then disallow discussion.
