Hope is not naive when you have a vision and a movement behind it. Hope is in fact righteous. This is the dawn of a new era in New York City. And we will win it together.
A friend sent this to me from the Chicago No Kings protest. Thank you to the patriot that made that sign.

Just to be clear, you are defending a Heil Hitler salute that was performed and repeated for emphasis and clarity. People can officially stop listening to you as any sort of reputable source of information now. You work for them. Thank you for making that crystal clear to all.
This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety. It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on…
Come January 20, our country will inaugurate a president who has promised mass deportations, a voucher-mania agenda that threatens public education, and attacks on those who dare to teach the truth in our schools. Well, guess what — we’re going to fight him at every turn, and…
For five years, I have been covering what is unquestionably the biggest criminal justice scandal in American history. Today it ended when the most corrupt cop in history took his life. But it's not over. A thread.

This is one of the most significant things Senate Democrats could do to combat the Trump admin's attack on labor.
FYI the Dems haven't yet confirmed Biden's last NLRB nomination — even though this would maintain a Democratic Board through late 2026

People hate on Sha’Carri Richardson since she is not their vision of a respectable Black woman athlete. Sha’Carri has tattoos, is queer, not light skinned, wears long multicolored weaves and long nails many consider unprofessional, “ghetto and too Black.” Her name sounds Black…
Yall please RT any and all posts you see of Frederick Richard. Even though Frederick scored the highest score for team USA, major news outlets are trying to erase him by saying that some other gymnast who only did one event led the team to win a medal.

If billionaires paid their fair share of taxes we wouldn’t have to rely on these “gifts” bestowed on a few and instead could offer universal college. Just saying.

Here are a few words I wrote in tribute to Jane McAlevey upon her passing. Jane forever altered how I view our capacity to win people over & win real struggles for change. It has been a great privilege of my life to work alongside her these past 5 years. rosalux.de/en/news/id/518…
I think Jane McAlevey leaves 2 big ideas/sentiments: 1—a seriousness with which she approached questions of strategy & tactics for organizers, rooted in her obsession with actually winning, and 2—an unwavering belief that you can’t change the world without the labor movement
I don't know what to say about Jane McAlevey passing away. I'm very sad. I loved her so much. But I know there has to to be an ask. So here's one. Everyone support Organizing for Power. We need to ensure her ideas and methods keep being taught.
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Jane McAlevey @rsgexp: founder, lead trainer, heart & soul of our global training program. You will be so missed. And may this elegy serve as a commitment: that your legacy serve as the building blocks for our victories to come.
"The threat we face at the border isn't from the migrants. It's from the billionaires and politicians getting working people to point the finger at one another when, in reality, we're all on the same side of the war." @ShawnFainUAW #StandUpUAW #Solidarity
No individual did more in the 21st century to spread the ideas and practice of a fighting, community-rooted, member-driven labor movement than Jane McAlevey. The United States and the world need her more than ever at this exact moment. It’s incredibly cruel that she’s gone.
