Thank you @RepSeanMaloney for being a loving father and a great #Champion4Children who cares deeply about the lives of all children, particularly the most vulnerable. Thanks for your words about the need to put the #BestInterestOfTheChild first and foremost. We stand with you.

My husband & I have been raising kids for 27 years. Our eldest came to us when he was almost 3. His mom OD’d & his dad went to jail. There was no one to take care of this little boy, so we did. When you discriminate against LGBTQ couples, you deprive kids like mine of good homes.

Thanks for your question, Karen 😀. We recommend that classes have regular Circle Time opportunities to describe emotions. @marcbrackett suggests that greater articulation leads to greater regulation. Perhaps start with a “Tigger” model and progress to a Moodmeter?

What a great way to transition from work to home! #WednesdayWisdom #MentalHealth #Burnout

I hope more hospitals will do this for their staff. So many people mentally bring their work home. I would rather have a Dr who feels supported by their workplace.

We're hearing a lot about the burning of the Amazon. Rightly so. Its presence is necessary to life. But what we're telling Brazil is that they cannot clear land for farmers or industry. Which is exactly how Canada and the US built wealth and cleared the west.

Kids are aware of their primary color feelings—happy, scared, angry—but can miss nuanced ones like guilt. To help them self-regulate, label their moods & use feeling wheels to expand their vocabulary. They may, for instance, discover they’re bored—not sad. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-sq…
