This ‘dodgy’ report was @TfL marking its own homework. It said that more older and disabled people used bus stops AFTER they became floating bus stops. It’s full of errors. The government used it to cover their plans for more floating bus stops. The report should be shredded.
🔴 Sir Sadiq Khan has been forced once more to correct “dodgy” data he used to justify floating bus stops in the capital. Find out more ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/01/2…
Yes,she always looked uncomfortable as did Defence Minister @Vernon_Coaker who is seen by many of us as the most decent ,articulate and competent Minister in the Lords. Hermer should be sacked.
Re #ChagosIslands if I was @JennyChapman I'd be furious that I'd been forced to defend the indefensible whilst Hermer hides away and is unwilling to defend his own dreadful Quisling capitulation.
Other countries understand that the old global system is gone, but Britain is still tearing around trying to find one last court to surrender to. We are governed by Eloi in a world of Morlocks. Paywall down. telegraph.co.uk/gift/6d5f42667…
From Consent to Compliance: How Labour Is Rewiring Daily Life There is a quiet shift underway in Britain, and it has nothing to do with walkable neighbourhoods or cleaner air. It is about power. Who holds it, how it is exercised, and whether ordinary people still have a say…
TfL forced to correct ‘dodgy’ report claiming floating bus stops are safe. @MayorofLondon accused of running a “masterclass in deception” after refusing to withdraw a “deeply flawed & whitewashed” safety review that was “riddled with errors”. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/01/2…
Every former minister I have spoken to blames the Chagos fiasco on Vijay Rangarajan, the relevant FCDO official. But, in Britain, civil servants are never blamed for anything and, indeed, he is now running the Electoral Commission, which makes MPs reluctant to criticise him.
Some basics about Chagos for BBC reporters, Sky anchors and others coming new to the debate. 1. The Chagos Islands lie half-way between Africa and Indonesia, and host a key Anglo-American military base on the main island, Diego Garcia 2. France ceded the archipelago to Britain…
1.2m cycle journeys is based on cycling counts conducted in early summer BTW. And was manufactured by Will Norman when they were clearly going to miss a previous target in 2023.

In Europe, we’ve felt so safe and comfortable that we’ve been able to indulge in all sorts of loony ideas without consequences. Well, the consequences are here now.
Lord Callahan has been AN EXCELLENT Advocate AGAINST THIS Bill and made sure his Front Bench kept up their pressure. Significant too that many Labour Peers didn’t vote when the Bill had its report stage and then there was genuine cross Party support against it.
Shadow Foreign Office Spokesman, Lord Callanan has written to the Foreign Office Minister, Baroness Chapman of Darlington, to clarify whether the Government believes the Chagos Bill and the Treaty with Mauritius breach international law.
So long as the US holds the UK to existing treaty arrangements, there's nothing that Starmer can do. treaties.un.org/doc/Publicatio…
Keir Starmer's Chagos project has collapsed. Not because new facts emerged, nor because Parliament suddenly woke up, but because the United States finally looked closely at what Britain was doing and said no. The moment Washington raised the 1966 treaty, the whole structure gave…

Against the social-media ban for under 16s Claire Fox (@Fox_Claire) spoke in the House of Lords about the rush to clamp down, the very mixed evidence that a ban would protect children and the impacts of a ban on adults' civil liberties. Watch the video and read the speech 👇

The UK government rightly defends Greenland on the principle of self-determination. I agree with their stance. So why deny that same right to Chagossians, stripping every amendment from the Chagos Bill that would have allowed them a referendum on their own future?
Labour MPs voting to have us pay and give away the Chagos Islands need to know their globalist, anti-British leftwing, treachery will see them punished at the ballot box. They think the public don't care or haven't noticed. We must remember their betrayal. theguardian.com/world/2026/jan…
Don’t let anyone think that @Keir_Starmer has not been influenced by Phillips Sands KC
The video is believed to be from 2022 as @Keir_Starmer's friend & confidant Phillipe Sands KC raising the Mauritius flag on the Chagos Islands in 2022. He was a paid agent of the Mauritius government.
From what he’s just said in the White House Donald Trump seems to think we’re selling the Chagos Islands to Mauritius (‘do the Brits need the money?’). Of course the UK is surrendering sovereignty AND paying Mauritius up to £34 billion over the next 100 years to lease back the…
