Brave Iranian women have been in the forefront of the current protests against the Iranian regime. Not surprising since woman have most to gain in terms of equality, rights and freedom if the current theocracy was swept away. Proper prominent feminists like JK Rowling have…
It's weird how silent progressive feminists are on the remarkable bravery of the women of Iran. Why, it's almost as if the freedom of women isn't actually important to them.
If you claim to support human rights yet can’t bring yourself to show solidarity with those fighting for their liberty in Iran, you’ve revealed yourself. You don’t give a damn about people being oppressed and brutalised so long as it’s being done by the enemies of your enemies.
GB POLITICS STATEMENT ON THE PROPOSED BAN OF X IN THE UK Over the past 24 hours, it has become clear that the UK government is considering measures that could lead to a ban on X (formerly Twitter) in the United Kingdom. At GB Politics, we have built a community of nearly 75,000…
Extraordinary courage from Iranian protesters. Real bravery is never fashionable.
The Lion of Iran has awakened. Iranians are rejecting Islam, the Islamic Republic, and Sharia Law en masse. I've never been more proud to be Iranian. ❤️
Scenes from Iran are heart stopping. The people are freeing themselves. A reasonable person would ask serious questions about why the UK media isn’t reporting it.
What people on the Left fail to understand is that the Islamist movement hates them too, it just sees them now as useful idiots for a time. Islamist ideologues have in their sights Jews (and all religious minorities and ‘non-believers’); moderate Muslims (who are its most…
Young leftist women in 1979, holding up a picture of Ayatollah Khomeini, calling for the modern-day version of the intifada. Here’s the difference. They won. At the time, women in Iran had unparalleled rights, beyond anywhere else in the Middle East. They had full suffrage,…
‘We spent hundreds of diplomatic man hours negotiating the return of a foreign prisoner who has no personal link to Britain, then on his way back we found out he was a jew-hating psychopath who supports the murder of cops. Then when he got home we let him walk free, unlike Graham…
Any council that postpones elections should have councillors’ salaries suspended from May 2026 and be barred from increasing council tax. It would be truly magical to watch how swiftly they all suddenly discover the “capacity” to organise and hold those elections.
I highly recommend reading this — in conjunction with my column in today’s Daily Mail.
There's a line in a democracy that, once crossed, changes everything: when elections cease to be an obligation and become a variable. That line has now been crossed in Britain, and it's the state's own elections watchdog saying so. The Electoral Commission has been explicit:…
Karl Popper, what a line
Please read the Count of Monte Cristo at least once in your lifetime.
I might have just finished one of the most remarkable life-changing literary masterpiece ever.
An inadequate response to the serious problem of violence against women & girls. Those in government are too cowardly to talk about - let alone take action on - the root causes: violent porn, an epidemic of fatherlessness & cultures that believe women are worth less than men.
If GCSE’s move online it will be a catastrophe. Citing “preparing for exams” schools will dump what little remains of books and pens and stuff our poor addicted children even further down the internet at great cost to their education, mental health and safety. @ofqual
One of these men was banned from Australia.
Well played Cornwall. Cornwall Council has become the first local authority in the country to agree to write to the Government saying ‘no’ to its bid to introduce mandatory digital ID. Cornwall has always had a strong independent streak. And it’s being shown again here.
Of all said about stripping the right to jury trial from most who could exercise it, the most glaring insult is the claim that something that has been a statutory right for 810 years is not a 'right' because it wasn't included in an international charter under 80 yrs old.
The right to a jury trial in the most fundamental criminal cases is a guarantee of equal justice for every one of us. If a government cuts that right instead of funding the system, it isn’t reform it’s endangering the freedom of us all.
This is a TERRIFYING attack on one of our most fundamental rights - to face trial by a jury of our peers. This cannot be allowed to happen. The criminal justice system is in crisis because it's been underfunded for YEARS. Justice costs money - but it's priceless.

An end to our ‘world class justice system’ as we know it. This is a serious assault on our liberty. Trial by your peers is a fundamental right in our democracy and goes to the core of who we are as a nation. Is there nothing sacred left in this country that Labour won’t…
