This is one of the best breakdowns of the Oct 10–11 liquidation cascade. 👇 What it really showed: - LSTs value calculated by different margin system differently(not 1 to 1) - LSTs liquidity ≠ base asset liquidity - USDe & similar synthetics carry hidden infra risk when used…

Doug's is an important thread to read today. The central lesson that crypto traders of every generation have to relearn is that derivatives are abstractions of the real thing. They are supposed to simulate spot trading in a way that doesn't require the underlying and allows for…

Indeed. A common misconception is that L2-issued assets are not secured by L1. This is not true, since the whole state transition function of L2 is secured by L1 — so even if L2 sequencer freezes, L1 can force-include special smart contracts to withdraw L2-issued assets.

Please, can we stop with this nonsense? I just covered this in my talk @ETHIstanbul_io today. There's no such thing as "secured by Ethereum" vs "natively secured". Protocols do not secure assets, they secure state that represents said assets. Whether the asset is bridged from…

Ethereum L1 can scale to 10k TPS, via: > Provers building proofs of L1 blocks, real-time > L1 nodes checking those proofs, instead of re-executing Below @ks_kulk proposes a certain SNARKs market structure: Proposer-Prover Separation, zk-boost & more. An ultimate nerd-snipe:)

Real time proving with zkVMs can help Ethereum L1 scale to a GIGAGAS. In this world, prover networks will be critical infrastructure to connect every proposer to a global set of provers that generate proofs reliably for every single block. @ks_kulk wrote a ETH Research post…

For the last six months, I tried to explained to everyone that there wasn't a strong fundamental reason why Ethereum dumped. And there woudn't be a strong fundamental reason why it would eventually pump again. Don't get me wrong, many of the criticisms about Ethereum are…

Something interesting about this pump: no one’s even inventing a reason. There’s usually at least one popular bogus explanation.
