We appear to have the wrong people in our Govt… they don’t appear to foresee the bleeding obvious. And they appear to lie.

Lying to parliament matters - and its normalisation under @BorisJohnson is deeply dangerous. That’s why we’re coordinating some parliamentary action in response Thanks @PeterStefanovi2 & @HarryCockburn @Independent Watch this space independent.co.uk/climate-change…

Glad to have been able to vote in Lords debate on Fire Safety Bill, and to support the cladding victims who need this matter resolving urgently - not to have to wait on a different Bill. Amendment by Bp St Albans carried by 326 to 248.

The Lords just did something pretty rare and refused to pass the Government’s Fire Safety Bill. Instead they added an amendment by @SMcPartland which wants leaseholders protected from cladding/building safety costs. Now the Govt faces a possible Tory rebellion in the Commons

67/ And that’s it for the Lords. Bill now has to go back to the Commons. Government now in serious trouble. It will have to whip its MPs to vote against this. There is no avoiding the vote this time.

Getting a team together to learn a socially-distanced dance can be difficult but learning a jig is do-able. There's an opportunity on Sunday to learn 'Lumps of Plum Pudding' in the style of Bledington on Zoom. Register in advance: morrisfed.org.uk/event/cotswold…
