A dream come true for TCOM grad Dr. Louisa Weindruch as she matched into the Harvard Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at @MassGeneralNews . She was one of the first students to help develop our ultrasound program, & now she’s on her way to becoming one of the leaders in the field.

Despite being ravaged by three years of war, a group of physicians from Ukraine was welcomed to @TheCenterTX , which is spearheaded by TCOM graduates Dr. Ray Page and Dr. Bibas Reddy. The physicians spent two weeks observing best practices to take home to Ukraine. Great work! 🇺🇦

We are so proud of TCOM second-year student Cheryl Obi, who received the C.V. Roman Memorial Scholarship at their recent society Gala. She is a volunteer coordinator for the Street Medicine Student Coalition, president of SNMA, and unity representative for the Class of 2028. 👏👏

Today, we celebrate National Rural Health Day, and TCOM will always be there for our rural communities. Did you know that one of TCOM’s first community clinics was in rural Texas? Thank you to all of those laboring so hard in our rural communities to bring them health care.

The @TXFamilyDocs recognized two TCOM grads for their sensational work. Dr. Zaiba Jetpuri received this year’s Academic Exemplary Teaching Award, & Dr. Jessica Nu Glick was this year’s TAFP Rising Star. We are so proud of the difference they are making in medicine.

Keenan Gibson, DO, a 2022 grad of @UNTHealth_TCOM, recently returned from a two-and-a-half-week medical mission to Ghana with the International Surgical Health Initiative—combining his passion for global health with his expertise in vascular surgery. unthsc.edu/newsroom/story…

He's one of the great minds in medicine, but you never know what TCOM’s Dr. Sam Selby will cook up for students in the simulation lab these days. This time, they encountered a patient with Anaphylactic shock and a patient who had walked in after a chainsaw accident. Great work!

It was an opportunity for #TCOM students from our advocacy, education, & community initiatives to bond with our senior friends at the Westmore Senior Living. They played games, did puzzles, shared stories, & built lasting relationships with the elder members of our community. 👏

More big props for TCOM alumni! Dr. Kelly Harrell & Dr. Sylvia Keiser were honored at @UTHealthSA with the Resident & Fellow Patient Institute Leadership and Professionalism Award. Dr. Harrell is a 5th-year surgery resident, & Dr. Keiser is a 3rd-year fellow in Gastroenterology.

TCOM second-year student Nathaniel Teplitskiy has been honored with the 2025 Sterling K. Welch, DO, Scholarship. Nathaniel was one of only 40 students nationwide to receive this scholarship, which is presented by the @AOFDOgood . Congratulations Nathaniel!

We put a new twist on residency prep with our “specialty speed dating” for #TCOM second-year students. We had over 25 TCOM alumni from over 20 different specialties come talk with our students about a plethora of specialties. Our alumni and future alumni are the best, great work!

TCOM second-year students got a taste of just about everything in our Simulation Lab. They drew blood, intubated, sutured, and then worked as a team during a code to revive a patient. A lot of hard work under pressure, but everyone got better today!
