The federal government is considering declaring the Blanchard's cricket frog extirpated in Ontario, meaning that it no longer exists in the wild here —due to wetland loss and pollution. This is a warning. Without strong protections, more species will vanish. #ProtectWetlands

Our teen program made a new discovery. The most upstream record of a Three-spined stickleback in the river system. A species often overlooked due to its small size. Males build a nest of plant-material glued together with spiggin, a protein produced in the kidneys.
