One of the cool parts about building a platform that monitors social media is being able to see real-world events play out on these platforms in real time. For example, we saw an unusual uptick on Reddit during the VP debate last night.
I propose a new reverse Turing test. You take modern AI and show it to someone from a decade ago and see if you can successfully convince them it's not another human responding. Some of these demos are just nuts!
Today’s stupid bug A regex issue that apparently only affects safari… As if regex couldn’t get any worse
Can we please stop with the whole "reply not interested if you don't want me to send more emails." @gmail plz use your monopoly on email to cut this crap out. Should be opt-in, not opt-out. That's how we do it at @PitchGhost and it works perfectly fine. Not that hard people.
Posting here because it's now been 3 days and I haven't heard anything from @lmsqueezy. The issue, one of our users has been getting charged by them monthly. The catch, we closed our account with them 5 months ago!! WTH?? Where is that money going?
Bombshell shake up...
Our new text-to-image model, DALL·E 3, can translate nuanced requests into extremely detailed and accurate images. Coming soon to ChatGPT Plus & Enterprise, which can help you craft amazing prompts to bring your ideas to life: openai.com/dall-e-3
Welp after waiting 4+ days to hear back from @XDevelopers I had no choice but to go the dispute route. I'll keep everyone updated on how that goes, but hopefully, I don't lose my X developer account and Amex decides in my favor because this was some straight-up shady BS.
Day 3 of trying to reach @XDevelopers support for a refund. I reached out twice already. Really not trying to be out $5k due to bad UI... If I don't hear soon I'll be opening a CC dispute. This is the UI for those curious. No tier or $ amount mentioned. Ur charged on submit!

Welp I accidentally subscribed to the @XDevelopers (Twitter) Pro API instead of the basic.... FML If you've seen that checkout page you know what I'm talking about. The page refreshed and reset me to Pro instead of Basic and the $ amount isn't on the checkout..... @Support can…
Interesting observation from using function calling with @OpenAI, the creativity seems to go way down when trying to pass things as parameters versus as a generic response. For example, if I just tell the model to respond in the form of JSON then creativity is maintained, but if…
Huge news! Get ready for another boom in the AI startup ecosystem. Affordable fine-tuning is now here!!
We've just launched fine-tuning for GPT-3.5 Turbo! Fine-tuning lets you train the model on your company's data and run it at scale. Early tests have shown that fine-tuned GPT-3.5 Turbo can match or exceed GPT-4 on narrow tasks: openai.com/blog/gpt-3-5-t…
Welp thanks to @jexia_ I managed to get types working in Deno but then I ran into the issue of max execution time for @supabase's Edge Functions! Going to try and move to @Cloudflare's workers in unbounded mode. 🌶️Hot take: Embeddings in edge functions is nowhere near ready for…
Anyone know how to get Types working for the xenova/transformers package in Deno? I'm trying to follow the @supabase @jonmeyers_io launch week example for embeddings in deno and the jsdelivr url they use doesn't have types, but an esm . sh one doesn't work. #buildinpublic

I know no one asked, but this is what seeing The Meg 2 in 4DX was like...
I think the main reason @nextjs 13 feels rushed and buggy is the documentation. The docs say so much yet so little. Example: Server actions, they never flat out tell you how to use formData to get data from the form you're submitting! It just randomly appears in some examples.
Anyone else find it impressive how comically bad the multi-account feature on Google products is??? You'd think that a company that encourages you to make as many accounts as you want would get this right but I constantly need to literally hand edit URLs just to get it to work...
Yesterday was a slight bit of a setback for @PitchGhost since I got sick, but luckily the day wasn't a full waste since I spent it in bed watching coding tutorials... 😅 Anyone have any awesome tutorials for @supabase + @nextjs (13 app dir) they'd recommend? #buildinpublic
