Syria is not doing anything against Israel. Nonetheless, even during COVID crisis, Israel continues to make unprovoked attacks against Syria, including key airbase used against AlQaeda and ISIS.

No, NATO shouldn't bail Turkey out of Syria. Turkey shouldn't be in Syria. The reason there are so many refugees is because of the violence in that country, which has been caused not just by Assad but also the international community funding Al Qaeda, its friends, stoking war.

Turkey is crying out for help in Syria's Idlib province. NATO should provide it econ.st/2wyvUNW

Turkey has helped to resettle many refugees but also to create them by fomenting civil war, pushing regime change, sponsoring terrorists & other rebels which stokes violence, endangers the population & forces it to flee to safer ground.

For me it is hard for the West to throw stones at Turkey when it hosts close to 4 million refugees. We need to do something about Syria rather than close our borders and blame Turkey.

A Turkish man heard screaming and forcing refugees to push collectively for #Greece land border in this video. This is a deliberate and organized campaign by #Erdogan gov't in #Turkey to exploit refugees and human suffering for political objectives.

Erdogan says Turkey is invading Syria to reduce the refugee problem. I can’t help but wonder if in the back of his mind he realizes that fomenting civil war, backing the weaker side, arming terrorists and other rebels may have contributed to the refugee problem.

I hope you appreciate the irony that as hawks freak out that the Taliban will continue to help Al Qaeda in Afghanistan upon our withdrawal, they’re advocating for us to defend Idlib, Al Qaeda’s longtime sanctuary where ISIS’ leader was caught hiding among the radical “rebels.”

What is Turkish army doing in Syria?

No so much to admire all rich donors of proxy war for Syria regime change project: to get Syrian oil, gas, water, land, Golan...by supply of money, arms, training, psyops, mercenaries, wahhabism

There is much to admire in President Macron’s creativity and ambition for Europe. But in advocating closer ties with Russia, he should have held Putin to account for the merciless Russian bombing of civilians in Idlib Province—800,000 refugees. Glaring Silence @MunSecConf

In 2016 members of the terrorist group Noureddin Zinki beheaded a 12 year old boy. Turns out one of them was a buddy of Hamza, the husband of Waad Al-Kateab whose propaganda documentary just won an award from @BAFTA and is nominated for an Oscar

No evidence of an imminent threat, like I said from Day 1. Maximum pressure has never been an evidence-based approach to Iran. It's an ideology-based approach.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday defended the basis for killing Iranian General Qasem Soleimani because of the threat of an imminent strike but declined to present any evidence, saying President Trump's decision was "entirely legal." cnn.it/39OKhNi

We will leave Iraq! Actually, that was a mistake, we won’t. We will blow up Iranian cultural sites! Actually, that was a mistake, we won’t. We will have a clearly articulated, sensible foreign policy. Actually, that was a mistake, we won’t.

Again the US government blocks Iran from addressing the UN. This is how a guilty party acts; one trying desperately to control the narrative. If Iran is so obviously bad & everyone agrees, as they suggest, why then do they need to suppress their statements?foreignpolicy.com/2020/01/06/tru…

The US has often sided against Iran to the detriment of counterterrorism against Al Qaeda & ISIS. Including Iran in the Axis of Evil & backing radical rebels in Syria to topple Assad only made sense if you cared more about countering #Iran than Al Qaeda & ISIS.

If the U.S. military withdraws in earnest from #Iraq, I'm not confident that the Iraqi Security Forces are capable of preventing the regeneration of the Islamic State. #Soleimani is gone, but if tradeoff is an ISIS comeback how is this is a win for the United States & its allies?

This is... a truly... monumentally staggering screw-up.

5 minutes after leaving press room at DodD, Gen. Milley turned around and came back in, telling us the letter US sent to Iraqis about withdrawal was a "draft" and it was a "mistake." Wasn't meant to be sent. No US troops are leaving.
