The United States doesn’t have a functioning legislative body. A few congressional leaders decide almost everything substantive. The rest is mostly a show for the public.
Society is full of petty authoritarians and 2020 has brought them out in full force. I've never seen so many people trying to dictate other people's lives and control them. Even to the point of threats! At least I know who to socially distance myself from in the future. 😂
