US security guarantees under Trump will have zero value. None. Trump lies constantly & has a decades-long record of breaching contracts. He says he respects no laws beyond his personal ‘morality.’ Ukraine must not cede a single inch to US-RU pressure & Europe must back them up.

Des bavures policières peuvent se produire mais, aux États Unis, en ce moment, il est significatif que jamais le moindre mot de condoléances ne soit prononcé ni une quelconque enquête annoncée et que la victime soit insultée. Ce n’est pas un détail.

Reality Russia is sliding downwards in every sense: their stocks of weapons are almost empty, production doesn't keep up, the normal economy goes downhill fast, the war economy is paid for with money they don't have. Should the world be in a hurry to negotiate peace? No. 1/

The killing of a senior 🇷🇺 general in Moscow might have the Kremlin ordering the same type of operations in Kyiv 🇺🇦. Has a new dimensionen been added to the conflict?

What an idiot. The only reason Zelensky needs aid is because of fucking Putin! If you think standing up to Russia is expensive, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than letting Russia win. The US cannot escape the security & economic costs of a collapsing world order.

If Ukraine does not receive strong security guarantees for the future, we will just get Minsk-3. Call it what you want, it could be Berlin-1 or Washington-1. It really doesn’t matter. It will be a continuation of the failed policy of 2015. kyivpost.com/post/44029

Helping Ukraine win is the single greatest thing that Germany could do to enhance its security. The lack of strategic thinking in Europe is shocking. A generation that has lost the ability to think for itself.

⚡️🇩🇪Germany will not help 🇺🇦Ukraine to the detriment of its own security, therefore it is not transferring Taurus and will not send its military — Chancellor Scholz

Just back from a flying visit to Berlin. Scholz is going to pitch his strategy on Ukraine as being cautious and therefore the right path. But he wasn’t cautious. He was indecisive and in doing so emboldened Putin. You deal with such a bully with a “calibrated” response. 1/2

🎯 For some reason, the countries nearest Russia, and with deeply felt history dealing with KGB methods, understand this is a war for survival. It's not "hybrid attacks" or "provocations". It's a war, and if you don't acknowledge that you will lose anyway.

Romania, Ukraine, Georgia & Moldova are fighting back on Russian influence in a manner that the United States and other allies won't. America could learn a few things from their rejection of Russian interference on their elections.

Timothée Fechner reposted

The events in Syria have made the world realise once again, or at least they should, that even the most cruel regime may fall and that Russia and its allies can be defeated.

Timothée Fechner reposted

The big lesson is that Russia retreats when defeated. When we hesitate, Russia escalates. When we show resolve, Russia withdraws. Same with all dictatorships
