Cybercriminals are using phishing emails claiming to contain "proof of traffic violations" to infect with ransomware. #becyberaware


Watch out for scams, like the email: "Dog Sitting Job Opportunity; Apply Within". It offers $350 weekly for caring for dogs, is sent from one email address & asks you to respond to another with your mobile number. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has posted tips on avoiding scams related to Covid-19 Stimulus payments. You can find this info: cisa.gov/sites/default/…


Be on the lookout for Corona virus-themed scams. Always be cautious before clicking an email link or opening an attachment. DHS is warning of a fake live map of coronavirus cases that installs malware.

Hackers are always trying to phish your login information. Scrutinize the sender name AND address for an email before you consider clicking any link. If you do not recognize the sender name or address or know why you're receiving the message, delete it! #NCSAM #CyberAware

Having trouble remembering all of the logins for all of your accounts? Get a password manager! It creates, stores, and syncs your usernames and passwords across multiple devices. #CyberAware #ncsam2019

Beware of anything that asks you to buy gift cards and take a picture of the card with the number scratched off - these are probably scams. Example - "secret shopper job offer" sends you a check (that bounces) and asks you to buy gift cards. #CyberAware
