The ACC @theACC needs to come out and say that their CFP bid will be awarded to the team that’s ranked the highest in the final CFP rankings. Miami should get the final ACC spot, not 7-5 Duke.
Spot on. When A&M plays Notre Dame next year and Texas plays Ohio State and etc, there's no reason to do it because you're better off just going 6-2 in the SEC and not putting that 10-2 overall at any sort of risk. I used the two in-state examples but it's for the entire SEC.
As someone with access to college tape and staff of 11 former NFL scouts that logged hundreds of hours evaluating this CFB season, it's easy to see why SEC coaches are upset with final playoff bracket. Based strictly off future NFL talent, Alabama, South Carolina, & Ole Miss…
Where will #Texas be ranked when the CFP rankings drop in a few hours? The #Longhorns odds continue to rise in Vegas. They were unlisted early yesterday morning, then went from +4000 to +2500 to +2000 and now sit at +1800.
Your game against Florida was a one-score game with less than 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter at home. Texas beat Florida by 30 in 2024. And on his worst day, Arch Manning never threw four interceptions and then tossed his teammates under the bus.
Get ready to see this happen all over the sport. If it’s only about how many wins ya have and not who you’re playing and where you’re playing you’re gonna see every AD make these same moves. Kiss meaningful non conference games in late August and early September goodbye. Cupcakes…
My Updated CFB Rankings: 1. Ohio State —VERY LARGE GAP— 2. Indiana 3. Oregon 4. Georgia 5. Ole Miss 6. Texas A&M 7. Texas Tech 8. Texas 9. Oklahoma 10. Alabama
Governor Sarkisian?
I'll give it to Sark, he's done well as a politician late in the year. Dispelled NFL narratives publicly to assure players, recruits and their families. Won the Texas A&M game Is taking a firm stance on the CFP committee's decision-making process
These are the CFP Principles. Texas is at the top of these criteria more than any team on the bubble.
It’s funny because Texas is going to get objectively screwed for having the balls to open w OSU. Despite being screwed, we’re still going to play OSU, Mich, and ND 2x the next 4 years… Because that is what is good for CFB. But many will tell you Texas has “ruined CFB.”
Let’s all remember this too. Last play of the game which resulted in a TD and victory for A&M. Anyone see a hold?! 🙄 Had ND won. Miami in. A&M out.
Since 2016 only twelve football teams have seen five top 15 AP opponents in the regular season (latest AP ranking), Texas is the only one among those twelve teams to win 3 games Texas also has the second best win % among teams to play 4 or more top 10 opponents since 2016
WHY ISN’T JAMES MADISON RANKED HIGHER? THEY ONLY HAVE 1 LOSS???
Texas has 3 Top 10 wins. Vandy has 0 Top 25 wins
Who exactly has Vanderbilt beaten? Just remember their asses getting whopped in Austin
Steve Sarkisian’s tenure in ATX: * Regular Season • 2021: 5-7 • 2022: 8-4 • 2023: 11-1 • 2024: 11-1 • 2025: 9-3 🏆 2x CFB Playoff Appearances 🏆 2x CFB Playoff Wins 🏆 Big 12 Title Winner 🏆 SEC Title App. This year didn’t go the way we wanted, but this is my coach 🤘🏻
I want to hear a Miami, Vanderbilt, or BYU fan explain to me why 11-1 James Madison shouldn’t be ranked higher than them. I think their explanation would be enlightening.
If Duke beats Virginia next weekend, there is a very real possibility of two Group of 5 champions making the CFP.

This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.
I don’t hate it. The entire sport makes it up as it goes anyway.
