every successful startup has been through this curve even I’ve been on this curve more times than I can count most of those times, I crashed somewhere in the “reality sets in” pit and quit you start with hype you ship... no one cares you try to fix it... still no one cares…

Have yet to see a true pre-seed round in over four months. Companies are all raising 4M out of the gate, largely with no product and no revenue. All expecting 30M post. Until the past few weeks, most rounds were getting done. Tide shifting quickly. Finally.

Yes, I actually believe “general AI education” (teaching people how to work with AI & have AI augment, not replace them) should be part of the curriculum

Love this episode!

“even though im clearly a crippled coder and AI is my crutches” they don’t want you to know, but 100% of software developers are also “crippled coders” and *insert any tool* is their crutch it’s all abstractions on abstraction all the way down nobody, not even John Carmark,…

Parents don't realize their high-end private school lies about their child's academic abilities, giving A's and B's when the child is years behind.

I substitute teach at a very high end private school and I’ve observed the same type of thing. Also the tolerated chaos in the lower school classrooms adds to this. Everything needs to be group work. No one seems to be able to sit quietly and think.

Neuroplasticity works faster under high emotional intensity. If you can resist a craving when it’s at its peak, you get a bigger rewiring effect. This is why the hardest moments matter most, they’re not setbacks, they’re high-voltage opportunities to change.

Do you know how much a homeschooling parent could do with $15,591/year? A microschool teacher? A private school founder?

Homework is a total joke. Why is my kid at school for 8 hours if they need to come home and do more? Any why the hell can't they do it by themselves without my help? It will be public school regular classes all the way for my kids. It is ridiculous.

99% of Edtech software does nothing to ensure students aren't cheating, guessing or rushing. This is a *huge* oversight that has made the majority of edtech apps ineffective for your average student. (cheating is rampant at schools + universities) For our Texas Sports Academy…

After running 5 schools, I've realized that the feature in edtech software that *drastically* increases learning outcomes is not things like better spaced repetition algorithms or improved content scaffolding. Learning science principles are very important but what truly…
