Obviously but this is the problem with terrible tone deaf policy I don’t trust Haley at all but Vivek’s wild failure allows even a moderately competent politician to outflank him from the right and cynically exploit his previous supporters
b) Legal immigration gets lumped in with immigration in general and people coming in to the country illegally. Since there are far more people who come in illegally, that conversation dominates the immigration discussion, drowning out the nuance about highly educated workers.
