Agreed, protocols like @MakerDAO and @UniswapExchange are primitives. The _real crazy_ stuff will be built on top of a collection of services. We're already seeing some early examples go to market like @veil.
If you're amazed by the progress DeFi made in a year, well, prepare to be even more amazed. Protocols compound, thus the progress is exponential, not linear.
