Just in: Minnesota Timberwolves' Naz Reid intends to sign a new five-year, $125 million contract to stay with the franchise, including a player option, sources tell ESPN. Critical agreement between the Wolves and Reid's agents, Sean Kennedy and Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports.
Curious WTF we're doing? Lucky to get #31 from past Utah trade, which is basically a 1st rd pick. Some consensus top prospects on the board (Fleming & Penda) that other teams clearly think highly of to move up for. Couldn't we decline "no longer a prospect" Luka Garza's option?
Curious what No. 36 could have returned in terms of a future 2nd round pick. It would be a small future draft asset, but future draft assets for Minnesota are limited. I get roster spots and flexibility below the 2nd apron are tight, and that No. 45 might just be for a two-way…
He looks good in a Timberwolves hat! Have a feeling this is gonna hurt even more to look back at in a couple of years.
Rasheer Fleming is the No. 31 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Don't like it. Had a chance at Fleming. Would have understood if got a future 1st, but two 2nds. Gross. 🤮 Like what Phoenix is doing with Mark Williams, Maluach, and now Fleming. Totally rebuilt their front frontcourt without giving up much.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are trading the first pick in tonight’s NBA draft -- No. 31 -- to the Phoenix Suns for No. 36 and two future second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Suns continue rebuild by moving up to 31 and 41 in draft -- send out 36, 52, 59 and two future seconds.
🔥 Hoping we just keep it and pick Rasheer Fleming 🔥 His size, length, shooting, and athleticism on a cheap contract would be sweet. (Fine with not picking up Luka Garza's team option...he turns 27 this upcoming season)

Mock Trade #2 Wolves get a scoring PG to help Ant and a backup C that can still shoot it. Beal agrees to play for his college coach, and with Rudy, bring some vet presence to help Giddey, Buzelis, and their draft pick (Newell?). Bulls have some bad contracts to move to Phoenix.
Mock Trade #1 Wolves get two guys with great FG and 3pt % that can compete on D. Obviously, defense takes a hit without Rudy, but with Collins backing up both Naz & Julius the spacing improves. Utah gets a nice SG on good contract plus pick back. Sac gets much needed defense.

Not only did Jamal Murray throw a heat pack on the court, but he throw a towel as well a few plays early at 4:57 in the 2nd quarter
Can you talk about how the Wolves lead the NBA (by a huge margin) in falling down unnecessarily? And how KAT and Ant are battling for League Leader in this catagory. Good win tonight...I guess 🤣
