One miss and getting those 10 points from 5 layups instead of 10 free throws shouldnt skew data that much.
Example: 34 Points: 10-24 FG 4-8 3P 10-10 FT Is just under 60% TS% But if those 10 FTs were 5 layups instead and he missed ONE more of those 3’s the stat-line would be 31 points 14/29 FG 3/8 from 3 0/0 FTs And the TS% drops to 53%
Reality is True shooting % is a flawed metric. And 9x outta 10 people only use it to push agendas one way or the other
