From any view, the river valley in the Battlefords is something special. Walking around this weekend reminded me how grateful I am to live in this part of the world.
Great to chat with staff who do incredible work everyday through these programs. I was particularly inspired to hear from some of the people involved with the Backpack Peer Program about how they build trust with those in our community as they work to help them.
Exciting day in the Battlefords with @everetthindley to celebrate the opening of the Harm Reduction Van and the Rapid Access to Addictions Medicine (RAAM) Clinic. These investments are key as work to help those in our community living with addictions and mental health challenges.
Beautiful Saskatchewan day for a drive. After a detour to Lake Diefenbaker, I get to use one of our recent investments through the Ministry of Highways (paving on Hwy 219) on my way to Saskatoon. Drive safe everyone!
I have offered @jjhorgan any resources that our province can provide to support their response to the devastating floods. Over the weekend, Saskatchewan sent sandbagging machines, Hesco Barriers (temporary walls), and a SPSA employee to support the emergency response.
