I learned (and unlearned) a lot about scientific writing, thanks to Prof. Henri Boffin's lecture today! This is one of the lectures in the "Writing and Communicating your Science" - an IAA-CSIC Severo Ochoa Workshop indico.iaa.csic.es/event/16/ at @iaa_csic this week.
My first day of winter school was so great! I enjoyed today's lecture by Behroozi and met new friends (some of them said they had been to/planned to go to Vietnam)!

It’s paper day! arxiv.org/abs/2408.13763 We characterise the local halo substructures (Thamnos and Sequoia) as part of the ChronoGal project by fitting their absolute colour-magnitude diagrams using CMDft.Gaia, obtaining age and metallicity distributions! 🌟

My first first-author paper is on ArXiv now! With Dr. Andrew Cooper, we used the DESI Legacy Survey to study the projected density profiles and number counts of globular clusters around 707 nearby galaxies. Check out the results at arxiv.org/abs/2408.07124
