With few exceptions: It doesn't get easier. You won't have more time. Things won't slow down. This isn't just a season. Either you take joy where you are, or you won't.

Could I invite you to pray for pastors and churches across Dallas? God is exposing sin, refining His church, pruning. This is good, but it is hard. I know it’s easier to make snarky comments, retweet the latest headline, but would you just take time to pray? Real people are…

The ministry to Gen z and younger must be a ministry of hope against despair and cynicism, of a God of resurrection and new creation.

Major new finding in the study of happiness: The long-studied U-shaped curve (lowest in middle age) has vanished in the last 10 years. Now it is young adults who have lowest well-being and highest ill-being, globally. From @D_Blanchflower at After Babel: afterbabel.com/p/youth-health…

After four decades of ministry I long for less rather than more. I desire a church essential. A body sharing life together, gathered worship that is simply hymns, scripture, prayer and a gospel message. Sharing our faith as we go about our daily lives. We make church too complex.

It is a meaningful life to do ministry you love. It is a unique blessing to have friendships in the ministry. But it is a rare joy to be able to do meaningful ministry with your friends. Pastors, build friendships in the ministry, then go do meaningful ministry together.

The effusive outpouring of gratitude for @TimKellerNYC—from Christians across the tribal spectrum—may be the most amazing thing I’ve ever witnessed on this website. It’s hard to imagine a Christian death in our generation having a more unifying effect. #ThankYouTimKeller

As epidemics and plagues swept through the Roman Empire, Christianity had greater explanatory power. According to Rodney Stark, “Christianity not only seemed to be, but was, efficacious,” and the emptiness of paganism was made evident as Christians showed self-sacrificing love.
