Building things
cloudflare went down briefly — a reminder that even the backbone of the internet isn’t infallible. resiliency and redundancy are more important than ever.
very excited for GPT-5.1
GPT-5.1 in ChatGPT is rolling out to all users this week. It’s smarter, more reliable, and a lot more conversational. openai.com/index/gpt-5-1
GPT-5.1 is out! It's a nice upgrade. I particularly like the improvements in instruction following, and the adaptive thinking. The intelligence and style improvements are good too.
Welcome @sk7037 to OpenAI! Incredibly excited to work with him on designing and building our compute infrastructure, which will power our AGI research and scale its applications to benefit everyone.
the trick isn’t feeling motivated it’s moving when you don’t that’s how you quietly build a future everyone else only dreams about
Congratulations to @ZohranKMamdani. We may differ on the economics, but I respect anyone who fights for their community with integrity and isn’t beholden to money or party machines.
sometimes there is no way to debug besides staring at the code until you become enlightened
i helped turn the thing you left for dead into what should be the largest non-profit ever. you know as well as anyone a structure like what openai has now is required to make that happen.
All palaces are temporary palaces All theories are provisional theories
GPT-6 will be renamed GPT-6-7, you're welcome
If you want to use more Codex after you hit your subscription limits, you can now buy credits as needed. This is something we expect to do for compute-intensive features; it will let us keep subscription prices low for most users and let the rest of you go wild.
You’ve asked for more flexible ways to get more Codex usage: Introducing credits for Codex on ChatGPT Plus and Pro. Credits give you more usage beyond what’s included in your plan, kicking in when you hit limits. As a bonus, we also reset Codex rate limits for everyone. Enjoy!
if i were like, a sports star or an artist or something, and just really cared about doing a great job at my thing, and was up at 5 am practicing free throws or whatever, that would seem pretty normal right? the first part of openai was unbelievably fun; we did what i believe is…
Ari and team are super talented and we can't wait Sky x ChatGPT!
This code is extremely dangerous. Here, I improved it.
My posts last week created a lot of unnecessary confusion*, so today I would like to do a deep dive on one example to explain why I was so excited. In short, it’s not about AIs discovering new results on their own, but rather how tools like GPT-5 can help researchers navigate,…
✨ Last week, Jensen made a special trip to @OpenAI, to personally deliver NVIDIA DGX Sparks to Sam Altman, and team. We are honored to share this milestone in AI -- bringing AI supercomputing to the desktop with OpenAI. “DGX-1 launched the era of AI supercomputers and unlocked…
Maybe a very prosaic observation, but I've been reflecting on just how much the pandemic changed the world in ways that are completely unrelated to the pandemic itself. I think I've underestimated it 'till now. In a recent interview, I was struck by the comment that so many of…
Things have come a long way since the delivery of the DGX-1 9 years ago; amazing to see...
Thanks Jensen for the hand delivery of DGX Spark. Best delivery service ever. Amazing to see so much compute (1 petaflop!) in such a tiny form factor.
