Dr Prophet Radebe explained that his Godly messenger is now directing the Good Friday spiritual ritual to Ekuphumeleni for the next three years (in 2018 and 2021). The purpose for this spiritual pilgrimage, he said, is to receive immense power from God.
“My messenger says that for the next three years, Good Friday will be celebrated in our mountain. God is calling us to come and receive immense power,” he said.
With at least 57 branches in South Africa and outside the country (in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi), Dr Prophet Radebe prophesied in 2009 that RCG will grow exponentially every Good Friday.
The African Prophet says that a covenant is made by someone who has realized a need to establish an intense relationship with God.
“A covenant is made by a person that sees the need to connect with God. It is a person who realized that one has been failing therefore one longs to have God in one’s life.
You realise that it’s not enough for you to be only just a congregant in church but now in need of something deeper. In short, you desire a relationship with God.
Not a relationship of asking God for your needs or salvation (to save your spirit) but in need of a strong relationship with God.
Dr Prophet Radebe founded this African covenant of restoration in 2008 5th of December at KwaZulu Natal- the Blood River heritage site. He renews his covenant with God every year.
He said that a leader has to be called first, by God, in order to start a covenant with Him.
“One needs to be invited, if you are the leader. The call must be directly or if you took over a work that started with your ancestors and you are legitimately chosen, then you continue where those who were called left off.
The followers go because of their leader who has received a genuine call. One does not go to the spiritual pilgrimage without an invite. Likewise, Moses was invited on the mountain (on Mount Sinai) by God, and I was invited at eNcome,” he explained.
Good Friday at RCG is understood to be period of growth and power and a period to honour the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ had made to give us the power to fight against the kingdom of darkness.
