My four year old’s review of Tex-Mex queso: “Too cheesy.”
Even the most perfectly architected and documented systems take lots of effort to understand. Making sweeping changes without that upfront effort is naive at best.
I don’t know why some people feel the need to give opinions about things that they don’t fully understand. @realGeorgeHotz I wish you were able to ship a few lines of codes to production instead of “opinions”.
Data science is hard. Twitter's top suggestions for me are accounts with 4 and 10 followers. One hasn't tweeted in 5 years; the other has a single retweet as its history. Neither are followed by anyone I follow. Back to the drawing board on whatever model is powering this.
I'm a fan of @elastic the company and open source proj. I wish them success. The move to change licenses is puzzling. @awscloud may have infringed their trademarks and copyrights, and @elastic should vigorously defend. Changing the license is an unrelated concern. Leads to this.
We are committed to open source. To help keep Elasticsearch and Kibana open for everyone, we are announcing that we will launch new forks of both Elasticsearch and Kibana based on the latest Apache 2.0 licensed codebases. go.aws/3qEp4NM
That rate I buy books is completely unrelated to the rate I read books
As a child, I saw a world of experts that all knew more than me. As an adult, I see imperfect people doing extraordinary things. It’s all just regular people putting a stick in the ground.
Anyone who has had to deal with me around @Carvana has likely heard me get high and mighty around $500-1000+ "Dealer/Doc Fees" that aren't disclosed in price (ours are $0). Very cool to have @robcorddry hilariously reppin' it on TV: youtube.com/watch?v=sXJAD1…
I’m dying to see the internal Oracle memos on how a TikTok acquisition makes strategic sense. Genuinely curious.
Report: Oracle has taken the lead position to acquire TikTok and is offering $10B in cash, $10B in stock, and 50% of TikTok's annual profit to ByteDance (@shakeelhashim / Protocol) protocol.com/bulletins/orac… techmeme.com/200827/p17#a20…
We got our 7 year old a Chromebook for the upcoming year of Zoom-filled school. Now I get - no joke - 30 messages like this per day.
Creating the personalized Discover Weekly playlists on Spotify might be the most fun data science challenge ever. It’s changed music discovery for indie artists. stevebenjamins.com/blog/music-in-…
Amazing and sad that @gofundme has become such a big part of how we try to correct the failings of government
At first, it felt strange to wear a collared shirt with athletic shorts. I was able to work through it.
A reasonable consumer would think a "tip" to a driver is a payment on top of other wages. If a DoorDash "tip" does not change the driver's take-home pay as shown here, it's a very bad look.
It’s like they go out of their way to be dastardly
I think about this tweet every Thanksgiving
Every year, when the President "pardons" a turkey, I think, Ho ho! What a hilarious ribbing of a legal system that puts humans to death!
