Amazon has officially changed the back end Generic Keyword / Search term field from 250 bytes to 500. Quick breakdown of what I am seeing: 1. In the back end there used to be one line item, now you can include 5 total line items 2. You can add up to 500 characters into EACH…

I wonder what quality control is for condom manufactures

Did another round of about 200 asins today. Learnings and improvements today: 1. SKU conventions are important. Can bulk edit based on this. 2. Planning what needs the be bulk changed is key. I was about to bulk edit 2 different attributes at once. Yesterday I did not do…

I started doing some bulk edits in Flat File pro yesterday for a group of 300+ asins. I have to say it’s pretty cool! Will be doing a little more sharing on the workflow I used soon. Thanks @Weiler for creating it.

This is pretty solid. Reminds me of my what if notion page that I created circa 2018

Here’s how I use Amazon’s Search Query Performance (SQP) report to make smarter decisions fast - with four patterns to watch for and exactly what to do in response. 1 - Low Impression Share + High CTR & CVR Translation: shoppers love you when they see you… but you’re barely…

Having thought about the API fees more, I think this will hurt small SaaS co more than big co - Barrier to entry is higher - SaaS prices will go up OR quality will go down (ex. less fresh data) Those in the Pro and Plus tier are in a tough spot More than doubles COGS but not…

The new Amazon SP-API fees have brought the concept of “engineered complexity” to Developer costs. I read a LinkedIn post from a Developer that their fees under this new model could be either $170k annually, or $900k, depending on whether they select their usage tier correctly.…

This is my Substack. I started to document my journey building tools. Some of them I still use some of them I don’t. My field notes Check it out. open.substack.com/pub/agenticfie…

Weiler is on a good one with his Amazon one liners around catalogs. I am all for it

Unpopular opinion: Amazon seller tools are backwards. Everyone builds for product research and keyword tracking. Nobody builds for “making sure your stuff actually works.”

Crazy thought but scraping might end up being cheaper than using an API

Amazon announced a new fee for SP API developer.amazonservices.com/spp-announceme… Previously there was no fee. Now they’re proposing to implement one of the most expensive API fees ever 1k customers = paying 10k per month in fees to Amazon + 1.4k annually (estimated) 10-20 per month software…

My guess… if they wanted to go public they had to do this

ChatGPT saved me $1,000 by recommending me to not go to an urgent care for some swelling my son had from a spider bite. And now ChatGPT will no longer offer medical advice. Big Pharma and the medical lobby got to them. They were losing untold billions already and forecasted…

Good thing or bad thing?

I just learned Google App scripts by simply connected a sheet with my tasks. Sheet has high level impacts on clients, then turns it into small tasks. The script then auto every two hours inputs the task from sheet to my task list for that client. There are some limitations…

Just had a talk this morning about discipline. It is key. What is also key is being committed but not attached. Having a baby/ kids can throw many things for curveball. But you still have to have discipline.

I like this tweet by Dan Go (@FitFounder ) where he lays out a plan to reset your life by the end of the year. A lot of this is about using discipline to make your body and mind the best it can be.

Don't scale. Make $1M to $2M per year for the next 10 years, save a lot, invest effectively, and either retire in your 30s or work on a profitable passion project for the rest of your life.
