Republicans predicted at the outset that they didn’t need to concede anything because Democrats would eventually give up. I’d say their assessment was vindicated.
Jesus fucking Christ. Resign. Genuinely just fucking resign
Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"
You don’t sayyyyyyy
Gorsuch suggests Trump’s arguments on tariffs could lead the president to ignoring Congress on literally everything
Among Minneapolis voters who did not rank either Jacob Frey or Omar Fateh first, 47.7% flowed to Fateh, 31.2% flowed to Frey, and 21.0% exhausted. Frey led by 10.1% after the first round, and led by 5.7% in the final round.
honestly I’m disappointed in all the self described progressives who voted for davis and hampton over fateh when clearly thats where the fresh momentum was. tired of reformist people w no urgency saying real leftists arent practical when thats exactly what they are
The Omar Fateh result in Minneapolis is a tough one. We need legit progressive leftists to beat a terrible generic dem incumbent whom wine moms don't care to learn enough about. The low-info, knee-jerk devotion to the Dem party continues to be the biggest impediment to progress.
Based on tonight’s results, you can bank on Trump, Miller and company doing everything in their considerable power to prevent a free and fair midterm election. It’s up to us to fight that. Get ready.
Now is a good time to remember that Dick Cheney's post 9/11 wars killed (conservatively) 4.5 million people and displaced over 38 million more, according to a study by Brown University.
genuinely one of the most evil people to exist in modern history, i cannot stress this enough. he got zero punishment for his actions. caused incalculable harm to entire regions. millions killed, tens of millions displaced and he got to pass away quietly surrounded by family.
I think there’s a problem with the way the press frames this. They always ask him “are you going to run” like it’s his choice. I feel a better framing would be like “do you understand this is illegal?”
Donald Trump Doesn't Rule Out Third Term, Says He Won't Be Vice President tmz.me/4o4JEXF
crazy how everything doesn’t have to be horrible and evil but a few dudes were like well yeah it does actually and so it is
Senator Fateh has been one of @StonewallDFL’s greatest allies in the Minnesota Senate. To attempt to paint him as anti-LGBTQ+ is not only disgusting, but indicative of how much confidence they have in Frey winning this race on his own merits.
I would love to be wrong but they keep saying this in public. he's selling trump 2028 merch. he's massively remodeling the white house as if it's his personal residence. I don't really see why the idea shouldn't be taken seriously just because it's "unconstitutional"
BANNON: “Trump will be president in 2028 and get a third term. People oughta get accommodated with that.” “What about the constitution?” BANNON: “He’s a vehicle of divine providence.” (PSA: Believe them. He is not joking.)
He’s not planning on leaving.
Hegseth doesn't dispute the existence of a memo planning for the establishment of a "National Guard response force that's gonna be trained in crowd control and civil unrest and deployed in all 50 states by April 2026."
Don’t laugh at this. Don’t dismiss it. They’re serious. Prepare for it. And get ready to fight against it.
Steve Bannon: “Well he’s gonna get a third term. Trump is gonna be president in ‘28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that.”
This is indeed the puzzling part: if you're a political journalist, what could be a bigger story than a plot, instigated by the president, to end U.S democracy? What possible journalistic reason can there be not cover it?
They’re literally shouting it out loud! Their plan to overturn the constitution and democracy. They’re not hiding it. They’re bragging about it. And the media are just ignoring it, or worse normalizing it; the biggest story perhaps in modern American history. Kill. Me. Now.
A small window into shutdown politics in one poll question: Approval by *Democratic voters* of how Democrats in Congress are handling their job has surged, per Quinnipiac poll. October 2025: 58% approval July 2025: 39% approval
the american government is lasering fishermen off the coastlines of south american countries and i am not hearing nearly enough opposition from the democrats over this issue.
Really making me go insane that almost no one in media or politics is pointing out the strikes on boats are still illegal even if you take the administration at their word
