Imagine having the amount of cash and user-base that GH do, and still fumbling the PR UI so spectacularly. An object lesson in picking the wrong tool for the job.

This is totally right on the axis Sam is talking about. Have a high internal bar for quality! However, on the work politics axis, you should almost *exclusively* care about what your boss thinks. (And if you think your workplace is apolitical, I've got some bad news for you)

you should never care about what your boss thinks. your intrinsic motivation should far exceed any standard someone else can set for you.

I'm pretty confident that Nvidia Broadcast is trying to send an HTTP request every time I click; and that I only know about this because of ongoing DNS issues.

Clean between your liquid cooling block and the fans that blow air through it. It's gross in there.

Thunk is looking to hire a dev lead. You'd need to be able lead a project with minimal oversight, work well with a product manager, and maybe manage another dev or two. Anyone I've worked with in the past have at least 3 days a week open? If not, recommendations are welcome.

Anybody know off a good third-party YouTube UI? The majority of my viewing is background noise; but I can't stand the algorithm. On any given home feed, only 1/4 of the videos aren't repeats or "suggested channels".

Eeking out that last few percent, I cached my public facing webforms. To do this I dropped CSRF, in favor of CloudFlare Turnstile (more free services). The reality is, CSRF doesn't really offer the protection you might think it does…
