The observation that ‘how can we stop a journalist from tweeting’ is most egregious. Do only journalists have freedom of speech & right to tweet? In needlessly using the word “journalist”, the court has displayed eagerness to earn laurels from Zubair faction of media.
Is Zubair an accredited journalist? How did J Chandrachud come to the conclusion that he is one?
The govt should not be deterred by the boon SC granted to Zubair. It must continue to investigate the trouble-maker, for it is its duty to safe-guard public peace and communal harmony.
There is a chain of causality leading from Zubair’s rabble-rousing to the killings of Kanhaiya Lal & Umesh Kolhe. In ignoring the mayhem Zubair triggered, J Chandrachud Jr performed the same logical feats as Sr did in habeas corpus case.
The woman is facing a serious threat to life. On top of it, legal harassment from all across country. She approaches court for relief. Court tells her tormentors: yeah, you are right, this is a bad woman. Forget about justice. Is there anything like humanity or compassion?
