Getting lots of SMS phishing attempts lately. Getting one every day or so. Anyone know if there's been a noticable uptick in the UK generally or has my number somehow got on a list? #smishing #phishing #infosec
Bad news - seems like your phone number got into a wrong DB. Getting one every day is maddening. There was a gov service online about unwanted calls or something and that help me a little in the past, but I still get a smishing attempt every now and then.
actionfraud.police.uk/report-phishing but due to the current COVID situation the funny thing is that they report to being operating at reduced capacity :D
