Bugs do not appear by magic. Somebody was paid to write them. Somebody was encouraged to work in a way that bugs would be created. The inevitability of bugs (beyond a very small number) is a myth. Their presence reflects the culture.

C'est carrément orgasmique quand tout est vert, propre, carré, testé, validé. Que plaisir, mais quel plaisir les amis. Ça fait 30 minutes que je me frotte les mains comme un gros taré. Je ne suis pas team 100% coverage, mais sur un projet critique et si j'ai le temps, j'aime ça!
My heart goes out to all backend engineers. Frontend engineers get praised for beautiful UIs. Product managers get credited for awesome products. Backend engineers get no recognition, except when a service goes down for 5 minutes—then they're called garbage engineers.
You may be technically gifted, but if you are a jerk, obnoxious, little motherfucker, nobody will want to work with you.
Readability is way more important than shortness. Our job is not to write less code. Our job is to write readable, testable and maintainable code without over-engineering and over-abstracting it.
Writing good software is darn hard, so I keep going back to first-principles. My top 17: Duplicated code is bad Classes should do one thing And functions should too Test ruthlessly And refactor over and over again Don't worry about tomorrow Simplicity always wins 👇
