Technical advisor, Will Pratt, was recently in south Derbyshire visiting a Short Summer Mix - a versatile catch crop that provides good biomass and rooting in the soil.
In #Eccleshall, technical advisor, Will Pratt was joined by sustainable farming advisor, Lexie Baxter and @Frontierag agronomist, Ellie Edwards, to establish the specialist crop plots at the 3D Thinking trial site in preparation for the open day in June 2025.
Here are 120 hectares (four fields) of our Basic Wild Bird Seed Mix which is being grown in #Driffield. The mix was planted on 2nd July following a crop of rye which went into into bio-gas, and will eventually be followed by spring oats.
