I'd be lying if I wasn't disappointed to see the worldgen updates be delayed, but I want to say good on them for prioritizing quality; both quality of life for the team, and quality of content for the players.
From the highest peaks to the deepest caves: the Caves & Cliffs update is more ambitious than anything we’ve done before. To make sure we can truly live up to the community’s excitement, we’ve unfortunately had to adjust our development timeline: ↣ redsto.ne/cavesandcliffs… ↢
After a lot of work, I'm happy to finally release WorldSynth Alpha 1.3.0. The major focus for this update has been to bring it up to 1.13+, but there's also more new stuff described in the release post. worldsynth.net/2020/12/13/alp…
Me: Forgets a semicolon in a header file The compiler: "I'm going to give a thousand errors on working stuff in every other file all over the place, EXCEPT the one with the problem. HAVE FUN"
Just managed to have WorldSynth perform world import, modification and world export of 1.13.2 saves while conserving tile entities (chest inventory in this test).
Been working on a welcome splash screen for WorldSynth that shows on startup, with quick access to recent files, examples and the possibility for creating new synth from templates (templates would be listed under the "New synth" button).
I'm happy to say that: WorldSynth Alpha 1.2.1 is finally out worldsynth.net/2020/02/22/alp…
Looks like things will be looking better for running WorldSynth on Mac again. Finally able to figuring out the problems and starting to getting things working on Mac again now that I'm able to more reliably test on Mac also, alongside Windows and Linux, at least a while.
Added a distortion input to several of the heightmap generators. The distortion input takes heightmap input, or vectormap input for even more control, there will also be a few new vectormap modules coming along with this.
WorldSynth Alpha 1.2.0 is out And WorldSynth is now open source worldsynth.net/2019/05/15/alp…
