Silver, someone who desires close companionship and would develop more outside the harsh competition of the game, was isolated and left to rot instead! This twist truly shows how AE is not afraid to go back on pre-established themes just so Silver can suffer. A brave decision.
All in all, Silver was a character who started out thinking he was worthless, felt like he was worth something for a while, and who is now isolated and suppressed and knows for SURE that he's worthless, in the eyes of the cast AND the writers. Truly peak writing.
