THANK YOU @GardnersBags! They’re forming a collective of sponsors. Can you help us get to 15k this week? When we reach 15k the group will match with it with 5k! Listen to Paul who was forced out & chip if you can 👉🏻 bit.ly/TakeHackneyArc… 💚🙏🏼@thegentleauthor
The work to install power supplies for the ice cream vans in @VickyParkLondon is happening so they will no longer need to run their engines and can use renewable sourced electricity. Thanks to @RNBlake for supporting us with this and @TowerHamletsNow for making it happen.
I really don’t want to do this. I want to write weird little science fiction stories and do a little work to pay my bills and just live, you know? Go on hikes and play games and drink whiskey and sing and dance and fall over in a pile of laughter… —but these monsters, they…
APPEAL: Officers leading a hate crime investigation following yesterday's pro-Palestinian demonstration want to identify this man. If you can help, please call 101 providing the reference 5122643/23.

Did anyone accidentally take a small yellow suitcase off the 9.29am train from Aberystwyth to Birmingham this morning? Could do with getting it back. It’s got two suits and a Perrier Award in it (I won in 2009).
This is true on the personal as well as the national level. Evading personal responsibility for society – by dodging taxes, by shunning the afflicted, by enriching ourselves while leaving others to engage – leaves us 'free' only in an unexamined sense. 3/
The ‘but it won’t make a difference argument’ also comes up. And they’re right. My actions alone won’t make a difference. But it all adds up. One person sitting in the road won’t change anything. But 1000 people might. 10,000 people might. 100,000 people definitely would. (8/13)
My favourite sign from the protest yesterday was “I’m here because Boris said ‘It’s one minute to midnight.’” And yet here we are less than six months after COP authorising 6 new oil fields in the North Sea. The hypocrisy is breath taking. (6/13)
For I really am desperate. The science has never been so clear. Last year the IEA report said that no new oil fields could be opened. The IPCC has since outlined a strategy for governments to follow instead. BUT THE GOVERNMENT ISN’T FOLLOWING IT. (5/13)
Next month, MPs get a £2,200 pay rise to £84,144 while the country gets a rise in national insurance, energy bills & council tax. We’re already in the top 5% of earners. When I was elected, I pledged to take home £35k and donate the rest to local causes. That won't be changing.

I recently learned something mindblowing about the geological history of the Mediterranean Sea, and I just can't get it out of my head. Now I'm going to make it *your* problem too. Sorry. Hang onto your hat. This is wild. 1/
"It’s an attempt to incite a mob… it’s profoundly dangerous." Labour MP Chris Bryant says Boris Johnson’s comment to Sir Keir Starmer about Jimmy Savile was "the same as Donald Trump’s playbook", after the Labour leader was rescued from a mob of protesters by police.
