Everything I've learned about drawing after 78 days of teaching myself to draw from scratch:
You can avoid criticism by doing nothing but then you also avoid growth, impact, and meaning.
Silence is safe because it risks nothing. We avoid criticism by staying small, but that safety comes at the cost of purpose. Only the men who build, speak, or lead feel the weight of judgment. Criticism is proof that you moved. A man who builds must learn to stand alone.
Education is not about filling your mind with facts; itโs about sparking curiosity and fostering the ability to think critically.
Courage is in much shorter supply than genius.
The Shokunin spirit is defined as an artisan who masters their profession. In Japan, great pride is taken in even the most menial of tasks or the lowest profession. It is one thing to read about it, but another to witness an entire country operate with such dedication to theirโฆ
I finally watched "Leave the World Behind" last night, and while everyone is focused on the obvious predictive programming portrayed about a cyber pandemic and sonic/energy weapons bringing us into systemic collapse, there is another point that I think some people missed inโฆ
