A sign of emotional intelligence is refusing to let feelings dictate decisions. Feelings are electrical signals in the brain. We don't choose every sensation, but we are responsible for how we react. Emotions are rarely calls to action. They're usually cause for reflection.…
Annual pozole rojo making on Xmas Eve. This batch turned out great! Super flavorful, a little bit of a kick (cooled by lime juice and avocado), and plenty of leftovers for the week.
We lost a true pioneer for women in this country today. Honored to continue her legacy and uphold her namesake at @ASUCollegeOfLaw.
The ASU Law community mourns the loss of legal icon and trailblazer Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. A true American legend, she broke down barriers for women in law and shaped our nation’s legal history.
While we’ve been working together for months now, yesterday was the 1st time we got to meet in person! Grateful for our business coach @olenkacullinan in our corner as we build Refuel Body + Mind. She pushes us to think differently & has been an invaluable sounding board.
I’ve now reached the age where stores opening at 10 am feels way too late
Ahh, the days when Facebook had the permanent ‘is’. We all just pretended it didn’t exist.
Grateful to be surrounded by so many incredible people to celebrate my one and only’s big birthday milestone. A much needed heart & soul filling night!
Strong relationships don’t need agreement. They need alignment. Agreement is having identical opinions. Alignment is having shared values. Agreement is taking the same path. Alignment is heading in the same direction. Closeness is a matter of commitment, not consensus.
When your dean organizes a pickup basketball game on NBA season opener day for the ASU Law community AND is open to a fun recap video, it makes for a fun Friday at work 🏀🏀🏀
#ASULaw students kicked off NBA’s season opener with a game of pick-up basketball at the Downtown @SunDevilFitness Center with faculty & staff. 🏀
*scares her dog with the squeals of joy at this morning’s temp* PHX SWEATER WEATHER IS HEEEEERREEEE Yes, I know, I fully revoke my Midwestern card after 8 years in Phoenix thankyouverymuch
Proud of my marcomm colleagues on this one. Their nimble, iterative work to make the marketing work happen in harmony (in less than 7 business days!) filled the room w/ students for Chair Khan’s requested visit to ASU Law. We were all inspired by her work in antitrust law.
This week, students at @ASU's Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A and conversation with @FTC Chair @linakhanFTC. @asunews: ow.ly/eqQZ50Q1ieC
Social proof is one of the most powerful marketing techniques on the planet. Less telling. More showing.
Sunday morning ritual now that PHX temps are starting to subside: Take Camila to the football field sized dog park. I get my walking laps in, she gets a mega sniffari + discovers beloved toys-that-are-not-hers (today’s was a seemingly a tennis ball, but much bigger and harder).
