Not new info. Projects >1000 functions have <50% chance of ever completing (technology or business changes). They are also expensive per unit of functionality 2-10 times! Unfortunately promotions foster dysfunctional behavior...bigger is better.. rather than MVP focus..

thanks Scott. Just returned from ISO #cloud meetings, I will convene an Advisory Group on Cloud Service Connectivity. Speaking with other governments policies are still hindering the cultural adoption of cloud. Look forward to CoC participation.

That's great, congrats! With the Privacy regulation also being updated, this might be the year for Canadian #policy updates to really foster the needed changes.

On July 1st, we launched the renewed Policy on Government Security! The renewed #PGS helps ensure that the #GC can safeguard the information and assets, and provide assurance to Canadians and partners that security is managed effectively. Read the blog: ow.ly/sOiz50uS4t2

Conferernce in Rome Italy on IT Metrics. Great quantifiable data researched on security of #container types, actual productivity, and overall cloud and metrics usage in government and defense. Now in Helsinki for #ISO SC7 meetinngs.

Thanks agaian to @GUFPI_ISMA and @IFPUG for the support helping expanding the interest in software functional sizing. Over 30 in the workshop and over 330 at the conference....very impressed!

Great points and reminders especially as organizations move into #agile #devops modes of operation. It's all about people interaction...still.

Enjoyed an interactive #itSMF session in Ottawa and invited to speak in Halifax this week at Atlantic itSMF. #Cloud updates and considerations for #ITIL in the cloud enabled world. itsmf.ca/event-3271589 @woodwardsystems

Having a month to ponder some of the PTC messages regarding edge computing, bringing many concepts forward into some of my engagements and presentations.

Enjoyed the panel, learning myself the next generation connectivity solutions and how to incorporate #network/ #connectivity as part of application solution teams. Great opportunity for #secured #authenticated #trusted #resilient connectivity services. lnkd.in/e_QnYxm

#Standards and #measures still require perspectives and context....litres of what?...oil?..water?..milk? Influencing and contributing to standards is key if you want to play in the global marketplace.

Why do we need standards? Without them, we'd have no benchmarks for success, no product-safety security, no common #technology unifying #global markets and no opportunity for competition to thrive. More from @JansaKeith in @TheHillTimes bit.ly/2Hx5RvG #ethicalAI #bigdata

Absolutely it will be an an eco-system on services that combine together to effectively satisfy the complex ICT needs of today and the future
