That’s why requirements is so important, because software is similar to coupling together an entire city (routes, people, energy etc) It’s the focus of my MSc research btw.
Most of the great products we use nowadays are a GUI for data stored in a warehouse or your computer, the major different between most company in the same domain is how they present the data to user, and the user journey/experience with them.
