If you're a founder, don't just add more people to a problem. Think about how to build a system or a tool that solves the problem at a higher level of abstraction. Don't become a manager if you can become an architect.

GPUs can be bought or rented in an instant, but it takes decades to develop the talent. My estimate is that there are fewer than 100 AI scientists with the skills to train these state of the art models that currently reside in India. Think of these scientists as elite…

India has around 5,000 H100 GPUs in total. Elon Musk alone has 150,000. Let that sink in. We're not just behind in the AI race; we're not even on the track. At this rate, only a miracle can pull us back into the game. And if we lose this race now, forget about catching up…

Shipping products with 3-4 of your buddies in a small apartment where you stay and work together is one of life’s funnest experiences. Met a founder in this zone yesterday and had a huge nostalgic flashback to my own 2012-15 startup days! 😆

An entire generation of investors drawing lines on charts. Where is the fun in that? Fun is in understanding psychology which ultimately shows up in charts and in understanding businesses. That thing on the screen is just manifestation of fundamental things.

"The reason humans are so useful is not mainly their raw intelligence. It’s their ability to build up context, interrogate their own failures, and pick up small improvements and efficiencies as they practice a task." I argue that LLMs currently lack this fundamental capability

New blog post where I explain why I disagree with this, and why I have slightly longer timelines to AGI than many of my guests. I think continual learning is a huge bottleneck to the usefulness of these models, and extended computer use may take years to sort out. L-nk below.
