A reminder that children with ADHD become adults with ADHD, and autistic children become autistic adults. You can’t grow out of ADHD or autism. If someone is born with a neurodivergent brain, they don’t one-day wake up neurotypical. They will always be neurodivergent.

Autism and ADHD aren’t deficits—they’re diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and thriving. Let’s celebrate neurodivergent strengths and advocate for understanding and inclusion. 💡 #Neurodiversity #AutismAcceptance #ADHDPride

When I first told a mental health professional I was working for about my #livedexperience of #bipolar they suggested I keep it to myself. It took a few years to feel comfortable being completely open, but glad I am! There’s a reason it’s an interest! #mentalhealthawarenessweek!

I chatted with a work colleague who is a Mental Health ally. I was impressed by the skilful work they do in this role. They avoid formalities and actively but quietly observe body language and other behaviour in the office. They offer a listening ear with discretion. Invaluable!

I genuinely believe that if we were kinder to each other, instead of being cruel, there would be far less mental health problems in this world.

The essence of #probation is this: "Treat people with kindness and respect to help them to be their best." These words should be on the wall of every probation office.

There is no word in the English language to describe the extreme levels of physical & mental distress people feel when they are begging systems to keep their child safe & the systems are punishing them for their efforts, not helping them, & this goes on for years. No word.

Mother: Outlines history of abuse, violence, unstable behaviour and extreme coercive control. Expresses sincere concerns that she and child will end up in the news as murder victims. Provides risk assessment. Judge: BOTH of you, stop fighting and get along better.

We need to talk more about the trauma of struggling to make ends meet. Having just enough to live, but not enough if any emergency comes up. This keeps people in survival mode, unable to truly connect with those around them. Unable to feel safe.

Misogynists: feminists need to stop taking everything seriously. Feminist: makes a joke about men & misogyny. Misogynist: whaT THE F*** NOT ALL MEN, HOW DARE YOU SAY…
