My interview with @mattforde, first released on 25 November, talking mainly about my #spinalstroke #spinalcordinjury and recovery earlier this year, and a little bit of what’s been happening since podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the…

Today the Lib Dems became the third party to back the Conservative’s Cheap Power Plan. It’s only Ed Miliband who needs to catch up. It’s time we end Renewable Obligation Certificates to cut electricity bills. Timely too, as they can vote for it in today’s Oppo debate! 😉

We need a radical change to energy policy. Our Cheap Power Plan would cut bills by 20% instantly. Axe the Carbon Tax and scrap the Renewable Obligation subsidies pushing up bills. Ed could do this tomorrow if he truly cared about cutting bills.

Ed Miliband has hiked the Carbon Tax by 70% this year, pushing up your energy bills. Tonight, MPs can vote to axe the Carbon Tax and back our plan to cut electricity bills by 20% INSTANTLY. If Labour truly cared about cutting bills, they’d back it.

Tomorrow the Greens are given chance to hold debates on any TWO subjects. One of these debates is quite sensible, on ‘Better Bus Travel.’ See below for detail. The other one is effectively just #JustStopRosebank Seriously, that’s it! And, it’s not even devolved!

Under Nicola Sturgeon & Humza Yousaf the Scottish Government rightly opposed the Rosebank oil field proposal. John Swinney has sadly dropped that opposition and tried to avoid taking a position at all. That's not good enough, so tomorrow the @scottishgreens will force a vote.

Shocking, but not surprising that SNP say, "Rebuilding relations with the EU matters more than ever.” For @theSNP, rebuilding relations with the EU matters more than ANYTHING. Certainly more than the #fishingindustry and communities of North East 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. tinyurl.com/hch55pe7

There is absolutely no reason to maintain the #EPL #WindfallTax or the ban on new #oilandgas exploration licences - other than green ideology and attempts at virtue-signalling on the world stage. Maintaining these fanatical measures is economic and social self harm.

⌛️ In less than three weeks, the Chancellor @RachelReevesMP will deliver her Budget. It will be a make-or-break moment for business. Removing the Energy Profits Levy is a key Budget ask from the BCC. @BCCShevaun explains why👇 #budget #energy #Chambers

Wouldn’t have got very long odds on this prediction to be fair. But still worth a retweet!

Keir Starmer will put up your taxes. Bookmark this tweet.

We must learn from #NewZealand getting l #energytransition wrong. Their policy to accelerate the demise of their domestic #oilandgas needed to be reversed in later years - by which time the supply chains had already gone! As explained by Russell Borthwick and Jenny Stanning. 👇

From ban to reversal, New Zealand’s offshore policy U-turn offers lessons for the UK. Ed Reed talks with Energy Resources Aotearoa CEO John Carnegie about pace, policy, and the risks of moving too fast on the energy transition. Read more here: eu1.hubs.ly/H0pbMCj0

For those who think that @OEUK_ warnings of 1,000 #oilandgas job losses a month are overestimated or even scaremongering, PLEASE take note.👇 Also, spare a thought for how many of those REAL people are (or were) actually working on new, #CleanEnergy and #renewables projects.
