What if... all data marts, databases, and data labs will henceforth expose their metadata through service interfaces. All interfaces, without exception, must be open for internal consumption by all teams. Every data point appearing on any report must cite two metadata sources.
While our primary use case is unlocking better conversations around data within your teams, there is no denying that AI training on metadata is going to be huge - we are working on some big features in this space!
The word "metadata" is brutal, it connotes abstraction and higher orders of complexity in a world that is already cognitively overwhelming. Building a business around it likely requires using different words, like data (contracts, catalogs, discovery, mesh, observability, etc).

The UI is always the worst part of data discovery engines - sure search bars are cool - but expecting every data seeker to use it is a bit much. The real power is in the the metadata you collect and all the opportunities it can reveal if leveraged properly.
