On this day in 1963, Gordie Howe scored his 544th career goal to tie Maurice "The Rocket" Richard's career goal record. Howe broke the record on Nov. 10, 1963. He finished with a record 801 goals. That record stood until March 23, 1994 when it was broken by Wayne Gretzky.
