Yes I am always trying to simplify my trading. Found monochromatic bar charts to be as effective as colored candles in helping me spot ranges and expansion. Much less noise.
$DOCS a name showing incredible RS in this pullback. Currently holding the 10ma. And a big beautiful base on the weekly.
$QQQ and $SPY filling the recent gap ups. $SMH breaking below 200ma. No reason to be long. And a little late to be short. So just waiting.
$GOOG now below its low from the August sell off. Obviously not a bullish sign for the overall market.
$CPNG big breakout from IPO base. A+ setup here and will be a top watch for me once mkt gets back in uptrend.
Did not short anything today as wasnt prepared to short. Came in with long bias. Fwiw $PSTG wouldve worked very well today. For tomorrow, have $INTU and $ANF on my shorts watchlist (but unlikely to take them unless mkt has a strong bearish catalyst).
How do you usually handle shorting strategies during these times?
Went back to all cash. $PLTR the main stock i'm interested in tomorrow incase we get a strong bounce.
$MSFT back below 200ma. $GOOG also almost there. Bearish indication for overall mkt.

$VIX has only ever been this high 2 times - 2008 and 2020.

$NVDA bounced off its ER gap up from 5/24 and $100 level. Continues to be the leader of the mkt and pulling everything else up with it. Possible reversal extension? Will watch on monday for confirmation. Not risking anything over the weekend.
$QQQ losing a critical support. 3rd gap down = very bearish. No odds in being long anything here imho. Next support level is the gap up area marked in green which coincides with the 200ma.
$QQQ a possible undercut and rally of this support area? Just like 5/31? Some evidence to support this theory: VIX > 20, $SMH and $NVDA bouncing off major support levels. Keeping an open mind and being prepared to react to either scenario.
$SOXS closed. 41% move in 13 days.
Took $SOXS premkt. huge wedge drop on $SMH and double whammy of bad news. A+ setup
Left with very small positions in $CONL and $SOXS. Reduced most of $CONL as very close to BE and didnt want to lose money on it incase of a gap down. WL for tomorrow: looking to add back TNA COIN MSTR
